The Time Has Come!

The number 20 symbolizes new beginnings, potential, and the transition into adulthood. It represents a coming of age, where youthful energy meets growing wisdom and responsibility. In many cultures, 20 marks an important milestone - a time when one has gained enough experience to embark on life's great adventures with confidence, yet still possesses the wide-eyed wonder and optimism. This duality makes 20 a number of balance and harmony, bridging the gap between youthful dreams and adult aspirations. It reminds us that every ending is also a beginning and that with each passing year, we have the opportunity to reinvent ourselves and pursue new horizons.

Join us on Sunday, October 20th from 1:00-4:00pm for an afternoon of ‘Balance, Harmony & Peace’. With vendors, food, education, and fun, we hope you will leave this year’s My Hair My Health PDX’s 8th Annual Event renewed and re-invigorated.

Impact:

We will co-create and host workshops by partnering with community organizations, health and wellness agencies, professionals, and community members; provide opportunities for My Hair My Health PDX training to volunteers and staff; and distribute monthly resources online to empower an additional 10,000 Black women by increasing, identifying non-toxic personal care products, accessing curated resources and building a network of support.
